HOW DO YOU MAKE A CINNAMON FROSTING RECIPE FROM SCRATCH WITHOUT CREAM CHEESE?

HOW TO MAKE A BUTTER-FREE FROSTING (CINNAMON FROSTING)?

Add food coloring-use liquid food coloring or gel dyes to tint the frosting to your desired color.
Try other flavors-the classic flavor is obviously vanilla, but feel free to experiment with other extracts such as almond, lemon, coconut or orange. You can also use orange,lemon and lime zest.dd chocolate-add some cocoa powder for a chocolate flavor or add mini chocolate shavings.
Add Oreos-coarsely crush the Oreos and mix with the frosting for a biscuit-creamy flavor.
Add walnuts-add coarsely chopped pecans for a nutty flavor.

Store in the refrigerator-in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.Freeze in a covered container for up to 1 month. When you are ready to enjoy it, let it defrost in the refrigerator overnight or at room temperature for 30-40 minutes.
TIPS AND TRICKS
Do you reheat this frosting? None. Just spread it on hot rolls. The heat from the rolls will make the glaze sticky.
How do you make the frosting thicker? Add more powdered sugar and reduce the amount of milk.
How to make the frosting thinner? Add more milk until the desired consistency is reached.
Use unsalted butter-as it keeps the frosting from getting too salty.
Use whole milk-even if a small amount is used, whole milk ensures that the frosting is as rich and creamy as possible.
Do not substitute butter for margarine or shortening-this is because butter has more flavor and depth that the other two ingredients lack.
How do you know if the frosting is ready? You’ll know the frosting is ready when you put the frosting on a spatula and it holds its shape without spreading.
Use clear vanilla extract, as this ensures that the frosting stays pure white and not “not quite white”.
Can you make a dairy free frosting without milk? Yes, you can use any dairy-free vegan milk of your choice, such as almond milk, cashew milk, coconut milk or oat milk.
All ingredients should be at room temperature-so they mix smoothly and evenly.
Sift in the powdered sugar-this is optional, but I highly recommend it, as the process removes lumps and lumps to produce the smoothest frosting ever.
